The weather may be chilly, but the acts coming to North Texas this weekend are pretty darn hot. From rap, to country, to Southern rock, and plenty of funny people, the options are plentiful.

John Buffalo

November 10, 7:45 p.m.| The Kessler

John Buffalo is the latest project by Dallas-based singer-songwriter John Dufilho, known for his work with The Deathray Davies, CLIFFFS, I Love Math, and John Singer Sergeant, as well as his collaborations with Ben Kweller and Rhett Miller. Two years ago, Dufilho underwent two heart bypass surgeries and nearly died. During his recovery, he was unable to play live instruments, which led to the all-electronic, self-titled album, which will be released on November 10 by local label State Fair Records. Get tickets
